How it began

Hans Peters, photojournalist, has attended at the famous examiner and photographer Mr. Wertheim at the photo Academy in Amsterdam.

Hans started his career at the famous photo Press-agency, ANEFO, in Amsterdam and worked on many subjects such as: politics, sports, portrets, daily news, train-hijacking and hostages, big demonstrations and the famous “krakersrellen” in Amsterdam in the eighthies. Also he followed the Royal Family of the Netherlands.

Domestic and International

Hans Peters has also reported and photographed the wars in Libanon, Iraq and Israel. Crime: Colombia (Escobar), Paraquay, Heineken kidnapping (Frans Meijer), Suriname (Bouterse Gate). In the Netherlands the case of Holleeder, bank robberies.

Cruijff & Ajax

For the Cruijff Foundation he made a photobook in Africa about Johan Cruijff. Peters has also made lots of photos of the footballclub Ajax as well in the Netherlands as abroad.

Hans Peters has won in his career, twice the first price of the Zilverencamera and once the third price in the categorie sports at the World Press Photo.
